The easiest way to ensure that no one has a key to your home or can have a key made is to purchase a restricted keyway lock. These locks can only have keys replicated when an original key is taken to the lock shop that installed the lock. The name and phone number of the lock shop is stamped on the head of all restricted keyway keys. The stamping alerts anyone who may attempt to replicate the keys that they are a restricted keyway and should not be reproduced except by the lock shop whose name is stamped on the key.
